Karlka Recruiting Group has partnered with a Federal Government Agency to engage an EL1 Data Architect for an ASAP – 30/11/2026 contract based in Canberra ACT.
  
About the Position
The EL1 Data Architect is responsible for leading the design and development of logical and conceptual data models and data architecture artefacts to support complex digital and regulatory initiatives. The role focuses on harmonising data models, defining data standards, and enabling structured data exchange across systems.

Duties

• Translate requirements into logical data models
• Lead MSW information model design development
• Map regulatory reporting data across agencies
• Define reference data and harmonisation standards
• Ensure governance, quality, stakeholder engagement alignment

Requirements/Skills

• Experience in data modelling and schema design
• Strong data mapping and transformation rules experience
• Knowledge of integration patterns and interoperability approaches
• Experience in data governance, quality, lineage practices
• Strong stakeholder communication and documentation skills
