About the company
Karlka Recruiting Group has partnered with a Queensland State Government Department to engage a Senior Copilot Studio Developer / Technical SME. This position is located in Carseldine, QLD for an initial 6-month contract.
About the Position
The role provides specialist technical leadership and hands-on expertise to support the delivery and maturity of Copilot Studio and AI capabilities within a Power Platform environment.
Duties
- Provide technical leadership supporting Copilot Studio and AI delivery capabilities
- Design, build, and implement Copilot Studio agent solutions
- Develop reusable patterns, standards, and reference architectures
- Support AI delivery models including internal, vendor, and hybrid approaches
- Manage risks, issues, and dependencies with AI-specific considerations
- Ensure compliance with data, security, and governance frameworks
- Support testing, deployment, and transition of solutions to BAU
- Provide technical assurance for vendor-delivered solutions
- Advise on governance, guardrails, and responsible AI practices
- Mentor and uplift team capability in Copilot and AI delivery
Requirements/Skills
- Experience in Microsoft Copilot Studio and Power Platform
- Strong experience in conversational design and prompt engineering
- Experience delivering enterprise AI and Copilot Studio solutions
- Knowledge of Azure AI services and Microsoft AI Foundry
- Experience with integration including REST APIs and connectors
- Understanding of IS18 / ISMS security and compliance frameworks
- Experience with DevOps and ALM practices
- Ability to provide technical assurance of solutions
- Experience mentoring and coaching technical teams
- Experience working in large, complex organisations
- Previous experience as Technical Lead, Solution Architect, or SME
