About the company
Karlka Recruiting Group has partnered with a Private Company to engage an Administration Officer. This position is located in their busy Brisbane office for an initial 13-month contract commencing in September 2026.
About the Position
The position is responsible for providing a range of administrative services and support to the company staff to assist with the achievement of business unit outcomes. This role provides quality customer service as the initial point of contact for the company visitors and general enquiries.
Duties
- Organising, booking and communicating all aspects of travel arrangements for the company.
- Undertake general office support activities including incoming and outgoing mail, inventory and kitchen supplies, arranging couriers, arranging functions/catering.
- Organise all aspects of the Brisbane office tenancy administration including seating/desk/locker allocation, identifying, reporting.
- Resolving base and non-base building maintenance and car park issues and the issuing of access cards for permanent and temporary
staff, visitors and contractors. - Maintaining Brisbane office reception and meeting rooms, including assisting with videoconference/teleconference facilities.
- Ordering catering for meetings and internal events and the setting up and clearing of meeting rooms.
ESSENTIAL Skills:
1. Demonstrated ability to provide a high level of administration support services in a diverse organisation experiencing rapid change.
2. Demonstrated knowledge, experience and understanding of effective communication.
3. Demonstrated use of innovation and analytical skills to generate viable options and develop solutions to diverse workplace issues and take responsibility for outcomes.
4. Demonstrated ability to successfully manage workload and achieve agreed outcomes, with the ability to initiate projects and opportunities that have the potential to improve the outcomes and performance of the work area.
5. Demonstrated knowledge of and experience in using Microsoft Office programs, electronic records management systems and experience with video conferencing equipment (or the ability to rapidly acquire knowledge of).
DESIRABLE:
• Relevant Certificate in Business Administration, or willingness to obtain one.
