Karlka Recruiting Group has partnered with a Federal Government Agency to engage an APS6 Procurement Officer for a 12-month contract based in Barton ACT. This opportunity offers the chance to work within a high-performing procurement environment supporting a range of contract and procurement activities.
About the Position
The APS6 Procurement Officer will be responsible for managing procurement and contract administration activities, providing procurement advice, supporting tender processes, and maintaining compliance with relevant government procurement frameworks and policies.
Duties
- Manage procurement activities and provide procurement advice and support.
- Prepare procurement documentation and administer tender processes through Aus Tender.
- Manage contracts, supplier relationships, renewals, extensions, and contract close-out activities.
- Create and maintain contracts, purchase orders, invoices, and payment records in SAP.
- Provide procurement compliance advice and undertake financial administration and reporting.
Requirements/Skills
- NV1 Security Clearance Required
- Minimum four years’ experience working within Government Procurement.
- Thorough understanding of the PGPA Act and public sector procurement activities.
- Demonstrated contract management experience, including knowledge of CCS.
- Ability to analyse suppliers, markets, and procurement requirements to support procurement planning.
- Experience using SAP or a similar financial management system.
