Karlka Recruiting Group has partnered with a Local Government organisation to engage a Procurement Specialist. This position is located in Maroochydore, QLD for a 12/10/2026 – 09/04/2027 contract with possible extensions available.

About the Position
The Procurement Specialist is responsible for leading procurement activities from planning through to contract formation, delivering effective sourcing strategies, procurement documentation, contract negotiations and procurement advice within legislative and governance frameworks.

Duties

• Develop procurement sourcing strategies and plans with stakeholders
• Conduct market research and analysis to support procurement activities
• Lead procurement processes from planning through to contract formation
• Prepare procurement documentation, manage RFIs and evaluate submissions
• Coordinate contract negotiations and provide contract management advice

Requirements/Skills

• Experience developing procurement sourcing strategies and procurement plans
• Experience leading procurement activities through to contract formation
• Knowledge of procurement legislation, governance and probity frameworks
• Experience preparing procurement documentation and evaluating submissions
• Recent Police Check within 6 months or willingness to obtain one
