About the company
Karlka Recruiting Group has partnered with a State Government Agency to engage an APS5 and APS6 Project Officer. This position is located in their busy Multiple regions for an initial Immediate start – 6 months + Possible extensions available.

About the Position
The Project Officer works with First Nations people, communities, and organisations to deliver relationship management support, engagement advice and on-ground insights in collaboration with the company First Nations Policy and Engagement teams.

Duties

  • Project management support and administration skills, including contractual and financial reporting requirements within the program’s portfolio.
  • Contribute to Cultural Safety for First Nations people and company staff.
  • Contribute to the development of accurate and persuasive briefs, correspondence and communication materials as required.     

 Requirements                                                                                           Successful candidates will also possess the following capabilities and attributes:

  • Ability to take accountability for organising your own workflow ability to develop and maintain internal and external relationships.
  • Ability to assist in liaising with internal and external stakeholders on policy, project or operational issues responding to stakeholder needs and expectations.
  • Ability to assist in monitoring, evaluation, and reporting processes for the program.
  • Ability to make decisions within defined parameters relating to the area of responsibility, based on a well-developed understanding of relevant legislation and policy frameworks
  • You will bring an understanding of the issues affecting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and an ability to communicate sensitively and effectively with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
