About the company
Karlka Recruiting Group has partnered with a Federal Government Agency to engage an EL1 Assistant Director – Communications and Engagement. This position can be located in their Canberra, Brisbane, Sydney or Adelaide office for an initial 6-month contract.
  
About the Position
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and managing project and stakeholder engagement plans, ensuring the effective execution of strategic projects under the guidance of the EL2. The role involves project planning, risk management, stakeholder engagement, and overall project support, making it an exciting opportunity to contribute to high-priority initiatives.

Duties

  • Develop project logic models, including defining objectives, activities, outcomes, and impact.
  • Conduct risk mapping and develop mitigation strategies for effective project execution.
  • Establish project timeframes, milestones, and deliverables.
  • Create project management documentation to guide ongoing and future projects.
  • Formulate and implement stakeholder engagement plans, facilitating meetings, workshops, and other activities.
  • Provide logistical support for stakeholder engagement events and initiatives.
  • Collaborate with senior management to monitor project progress and provide updates.

Requirements/Skills

  • Proven experience in project management, including developing logic models and managing project risks.
  • Strong skills in stakeholder engagement and planning effective communication strategies.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
  • High-level written and verbal communication skills for clear project documentation and stakeholder interaction.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-priority environment while ensuring timely project execution.
  • Must possess Baseline Security Clearance or higher
