About the company
Karlka Recruiting Group has partnered with a Federal Government Agency to engage an APS6 Strategic Policy Advice and Development Officer. This position is located in their busy Canberra office for an initial contract until 30 April 2026.
About the Position
The role will see you perform research and analysis from a broad range of sources to support the design, development and implementation of effective regulatory policy and reform. You would prepare and progress a range of documentation including reports, work plans and budget documents.
Duties
- Interpret, draft and review policy for publication
- Prepare draft reports, briefing papers and ministerial correspondence and develop draft policy advice
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders and conduct research and analysis activities in support of policy development
- Contribute to the development of team objectives, work plans and strategic planning
Requirements/Skills
- Australian citizen and ability to obtain Baseline Security Clearance
- 2-3 years policy analysis and development experience
- Ability to work to a level of independence
