Karlka Recruiting Group has partnered with a leading Higher Education institution to engage a Senior Coordinator – Technology Category Management on a permanent, full-time basis. This position is based in an inner Brisbane office within a large, complex organisation with a strong focus on long-term capability, governance, and continuous improvement.
About the Position
The Senior Coordinator – Technology Category Management is a key member of the Technology Category Management function, supporting financial oversight, purchasing processes, and reporting across the technology category.
This permanent role suits a professional seeking long-term career development within a structured, values-driven environment, working closely with internal stakeholders to ensure transparency, compliance, and value across technology spend.
Duties
- Support end-to-end financial management and purchasing processes across the technology category
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and reporting on technology spend and utilisation
- Raise purchase orders and support financial approval and compliance documentation
- Prepare clear reports on expenditure, trends, and forward forecasts
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives to drive efficiency and optimisation
- Support supplier, contract, and operational risk management activities
- Collaborate with stakeholders across technology, finance, and business teams
Requirements/Skills
- Experience in technology category management, procurement, finance, or a similar role
- Strong understanding of financial management, reporting, and governance
- Ability to analyse data and provide clear, value-driven insights
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- High attention to detail with strong organisational capability
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 and digital collaboration tools
- Experience in higher education or other large, regulated environments is highly regarded

Remuneration
- HEW Level 7 classification, with salary commensurate with experience
- Superannuation in line with the relevant enterprise agreement – 17%
