About the company
Karlka Recruiting Group has partnered with a State Government Agency to engage a Procurement Lead. This position is located in their busy Gungahlin office for an initial 6-month contract.
  
About the Position
You would be delivering high quality, strategic, accurate advice and support the procurement and supply of goods and services on behalf of the department.

Duties

• Lead the development of frameworks and standard operating procedures for the department’s clients
• Provide strong leadership and expert advice to clients on a range of complex procurement projects to deliver quality project outcomes on time and on budget
• Manage the operations of a small team, ensuring appropriate HR administration and performance management, workforce development, collaborative practice and controlling operational workflow. Provide effective supervision and coaching in procurement skills development to an assigned team of procurement officers to produce high quality advice and documentation outcomes
• Produce and assure high quality documentation across the procurement lifecycle and reporting information as required, such as briefing material, communication artefacts, status updates etc

Requirements/Skills

• Relevant tertiary qualifications – Certificate IV in Government (Procurement & Contracting) would be highly regarded
• Ability to undertake a police clearance check
