Karlka Recruiting Group has partnered with a NSW State Government Agency to engage a Communications and Engagement Officer.
This position is located in their Westmead / Greater Sydney office and is offered on an initial 6-month contract, with the possibility of extension.
About the Position
The Communications and Engagement Officer will support a major hospital redevelopment project, working as part of a dedicated communications team to deliver clear, consistent and engaging communications across a range of internal and external audiences.
This role suits an experienced communications professional who enjoys project-based work, stakeholder engagement and hands-on content delivery within a complex public sector environment.
Duties
- Support the development and delivery of communications and engagement activities for a large-scale health infrastructure project
- Prepare high-quality content for a range of channels including internal communications, digital platforms and stakeholder updates
- Assist with stakeholder, community and consumer engagement activities
- Coordinate events, briefings and consultation activities as required
- Work collaboratively with internal teams and external partners to ensure consistent messaging
- Provide communications support across key project milestones, including delivery and commissioning phases
Requirements/Skills
- Demonstrated experience in a communications, engagement or stakeholder-facing role
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience developing content for multiple channels (digital, internal, stakeholder-focused)
- Ability to work autonomously while collaborating within a broader project team
- Experience in government, health, infrastructure or large organisations is desirable
- Stakeholder and community engagement experience highly regarded
