Karlka Recruiting Group has partnered with a Federal Government Agency to engage 2 x APS5 – EL1 Payroll Officers. This position is located in their busy Canberra office for an initial 3 month contract.
About the Position
The APS5 – EL1 Payroll Officers will play a key role in reviewing and validating employee leave balances following a payroll system transition. This position requires strong analytical skills and payroll expertise to reconcile historical data, resolve discrepancies, and ensure accurate employee records moving forward.
Duties
- Audit employee leave balances
- Reconcile legacy payroll data
- Identify and document discrepancies
- Analyse data using Excel
- Prepare structured audit reports
Requirements/Skills
- Payroll or finance background
- Leave audit experience
- Advanced Excel proficiency
- High attention to detail
